91ֱ’s A Cappella Choir to present preview concert for national conference performance

91ֱ’s A Cappella Choir will present a preview concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, of a performance the student ensemble will give at the Southwestern American Choral Directors Association conference in Denver, Colorado.


NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The A Cappella Choir at Stephen F. Austin State University is one of only two university choirs to be invited to perform at this year’s Southwestern American Choral Directors Association conference slated for Feb. 27 through March 2 in Denver, Colorado.

The choir, directed by Dr. Michael Murphy, director of choral activities at 91ֱ, will present a preview concert of this performance at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, in Cole Concert Hall, Wright Music Building, on the 91ֱ campus.

“Through a rigorous audition process, the 91ֱ A Cappella Choir was extended this prestigious invitation,” Murphy said.
