Callie Lynn, a Stephen F. Austin State University biology graduate student from Rusk, represented 91直播 at the Conference of Southern Graduate Schools鈥 Three Minute Thesis Competition Feb. 19-20 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Under the guidance of Dr. Jason Bruck, associate professor of biology at 91直播, Lynn presented 鈥淭he Dolphin Cocktail Party Effect: Did You Whistle My Name?鈥 She competed against 66 master鈥檚 and doctoral students from across the southern region, earning a place among the 12 finalists. The 3MT competition challenges graduate students to communicate the significance of their research in just three minutes using a single static slide while emphasizing clarity, impact and accessibility to a broad audience.
