Reaccreditation earned in 2024

The University of Texas System Police Department at 91直播 has been awarded Texas Best Practices reaccreditation from the Texas Police Chiefs Association in 2024. Originally accredited in December 2019, the campus police is evaluated for reaccreditation every four years. During the reaccreditation process, assessors from TPCA come to evaluate all departmental policies, procedures and documentation to ensure they are compliant with Texas Best Practices, which are carefully developed by Texas Law Enforcement professionals to assist agencies in the efficient and effective delivery of service, the reduction of risk and the protection of individual鈥檚 rights, according to TPCA.

Out of approximately 1,200 agencies throughout Texas, about 200 of those are accredited by TPCA, resulting in an extreme accomplishment for the campus police. The accreditation shows the department is dedicated to upholding the safety of the 91直播 community and holding officers to the highest standards.
